Fort Worth City Tour

Discover the city of “cowboys and culture,” a true Texan experience packed with longhorns, outlaws, and western saloons. Fort Worth will capture your heart with its charming blend of the Wild West and modern cultures. We will go on a historical tour from what was once a wild frontier inhabited by buffalo, Indians, and cattle drovers to the present city, with its magnificent skyscrapers and a world-class Arts scene. Fort Worth’s fascinating Western history will come to life with tales about the Chisholm Trail and famous outlaws like Butch Cassidy and Bat Masterson. We will ride through the Cultural District, filled with sculpture, museums, and artwork like the stunning “Trumpet Angels” outside renowned Bass Hall. We also roll by JFK Memorial and the “Texan Hotel” where JFK spent the last night of his life. We end our riding tour with time in the “Stockyards” to stroll Hell’s Half Acre, where saloons, gambling parlors, brothels, and dance halls once flourished—some still do. A highlight will be the daily “Cattle Drive” down Main Street by real cowboys and real Longhorns. You will have time for browsing and lunch on your own in the Stockyards and may return to the hotel at your leisure on from one of our intermediate shuttle bus runs.

Note: On Tuesday, we will be leaving the hotel after lunch—please eat before the tour begins.

George W. Bush Presidential Library & JFK Assassination Museum

The Bush Library’s state-of-the-art exhibits include a stunning presentation on terrorism and the World Trade Center attack, including artifacts and a day by day timeline post-911, as experienced through the eyes of the President. A unique experience can be found in the interactive “Decision Theater” which thrusts you into the decision-making process that a President experiences during a crisis. Sit at a desk, get the facts, and struggle with the same questions as George W. did. Then, you make the decision!

Lunch on your own will be in Dallas’ West End, one of the city’s leading tourist attractions. Then on to the Sixth Floor Museum which chronicles the assassination and legacy of JFK and interprets the Dealey Plaza National Historic Landmark and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Plaza. The Museum is located in the Texas School Book Depository where the fatal shot was taken.

Exclusive Wine Pairing Dinner

We have limited capacity for this incredibly special evening in historic Grapevine—the Wine Capital of Texas. Enjoy a splendidly curated 5-course dinner with perfectly paired wine selections to entice the full flavors of your sumptuous meal. Start with a welcome toast, followed by a duo-appetizer of sea scallops and hand carved beef tartare, then a salad course of gold and red beet with yogurt vinaigrette followed by an Heirloom tomato Gazpacho with creme fraiche. Your main entree is a Surf & Turf of Pistachio Herbed Crusted Sea Bass with Parsnip Purée & Hickory Smoked Filet Mignon with Veal demi-glace. Dessert will be a fabulous Berry Grand Marnier Trifle served with Veuve Cliquot Champagne from France.

Each course is perfectly paired with a wine selection hand selected by the French Chef and owner Fabien Goury. This incredible evening is not offered to the public and is set in a private dining room in the restaurant. Gourmet meal, wines, service charges, and round-trip motor coach transportation is provided. Seating is extremely limited, please reserve early!

Cowboys Stadium and/or The Ballpark at Arlington

On your guided tour hear all the facts and figures, admire the expensive art-work, see the luxury suites, post-game interview room, cheerleader and players’ locker rooms, media press-box, and get down on the actual playing field and toss a ball around. There is something for everyone here. Come see where billions of dollars are printed from an enclosed walkway suspended above the production floor. The experience includes an informative theater film and the opportunity to walk through two floors of interactive exhibits and displays showcasing currency history and the intricate art of currency manufacturing. Don’t miss a stop at the unique gift shop. You will be back at the hotel in time to catch the Grapevine excursion—a nice end to the day.

Evening in the Stockyards FEATURING Billy Bob’s

Billy Bob’s Texas is the world’s largest honky-tonk. This place is huge (three acres!), with its own indoor rodeo arena (show included),Texas-size dance floor, dozens of bar stations, a Wall of Fame with celebrity handprints, and a general store.
